What cards will I buy?

I have read an article by a very successful future trader. He underlined the importance of edge finding (try to understand reasons behind price movements), backtesting (review past card price movements) and discipline(you know what it is just you can't keep it). My readers, which are competent, hardworking and wise, should be able to learn and improve. Forget me, I am too lazy to achieve anything. But I will tell you the potential cards to buy. 1. Eldrazi Displacer Everyone's talking about the combo. If it works, this card can be in a small proportion of decks. But that's not a signal to collect. A potential card should be seen in one or more popular decks, say Abzan & Mardu. In these decks, we don't have colorless mana source for it's ability. While in Eldrazi deck, we don't need Displacer's blinking ability. Maybe, Shadow over Innistrad will bring us more relevant lands for Displacer to shine. I will not buy it, but I will keep watch

GR Ramp & Temur Ramp

Honestly, I am unsure how Eldrazi ramp stand out among all the fast aggro decks and blue control decks. Instead, I 'm trying to build GR and Temur ramp decks. The reasons are as followings: 1. It's more resisting to aggro than Eldrazi. 2. Shadows over Innistrad reminds me of some GR decks in the Innistrad era, history sometimes repeats itself. 3. Sylvan Advocate, Chandra, Flamecaller, Goblin Dark-Dwellers and Mina and Denn, Wildborn are good to Ramp into. 4. In a GR deck, we can put 3 cards that return/recast burn spells: Den Protector, Goblin Dark-Dwellers, Greenwarden of Murasa. Even without calculating the probability, I am able to imagine how annoying any burn spell is in the deck. Ramp: 4 Rattleclaw Mystic 4 Nissa's Pilgrimage Creatures: 2 Hangarback Walker 4 Sylvan Advocate / Nissa? 2 Den Protector 2 Goblin Dark-Dwellers    / 2 Whisperwood Elemental 2 Greenwarden of Murasa 4 Thunderbreak Regent 2 Dragonlord Atarka Mass Removal: 2 Chandra, Flamecalle

GU Eldrazi Ramp

Let's start: Turn 2: Warping Wail/ Rattleclaw Mystic/ Leaf Gilder On turn 3, We can cast a Thought-Knot Seer for hand disruption and early attacking. Maybe we can cast Kiora. Other ramp cards: Nissa's Pilgrimage, Map the Wastes, Sylvan Scrying, Shrine of the Forsaken Gods, Oblivion Sower, Nissa's Renewal Finishers: Hangarback Walker - It combos with Kiora, Master of the Depths. Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger - Exiling 2 permanents is good to race over Abzan. Ugin, the Spirit Dragon - it's the best removal for Ramp decks Crush of Tentacles (I like this card but the meta is full of Rhinos and Den Protecters, it can't be in tier 1 decks), Sphinx of the Final Word ( Building up mana into Sphinx with creatures can evade Crackling Doom and Foul-Tongue Invocation. A Stubborn Denial would be great to counter Crux of Fate) Others: Sideboards: Versus Esper control: Rending Volley, Gaea's Revenge, Whisperwood Elemental Versus Tokens: Kozilek

I 'm BACK with Oath of Gatewatch review ; )

After a long holiday, I am back. The cards from Oath I want to buy are: 1. Kozilek's Return a) It is a very good mass removal in both Standard and Modern.  b) Ramp decks are going to be more popular in the wake of introduction of "Waste" mana. People will try to build around "Waste", more or less. c) It's an instant(it's only rival, Radiant Flames is a sorcery). 2. Thought-Knot Seer Paying 4 mana, you get Thoughtseize + a 4/4. I wish they make more lands that can add colorless mana so that I can use this card in deck other than Eldrazi Ramps. 3. Sylvan Advocate a) 1G for a 2/3 Vigilance is fine b) Once you have 6 lands, you can play Advocate and then activate Shambling Vent or Hissing Quagmire. You attack for 4 and get a 4/6 blocker. Very good value. c) It may be usable in Modern. 4. Goblin Dark-Dwellers a) It's hard to measure how good it is - we can't predict what instant/sorcery cost 3 or less will be printed. b)
