Unless I misread Escalate, this is a perfect card for control deck.
Now we have an Unsummon with another option.
Now we have a good mana dork. Enabling turn 3 Languish or turn 5 Descend upon the Sinful, maybe UB or UW control will return to the mainstream.
The problematic "uncounterable" Ulamog exiling effect is solved.
It seems to me that Esper or UB or UW will earn a place in the new standard.

The missing link is a good card draw spell. Current list uses Read the Bone. I think there will be a better draw spell in the new set. Let's wait.
