From the currently reviewed 83 cards, I can see the followings:
1. This set is about colorless vs muti-color. We have many colorless creatures with "Devoid" tag while we get single colored spells that do more when we cast them with additional colors(Converge) and also we have muti-color cards.
The mana source supporting tricolor decks in current standard is not shrieking. Most tricolor decks we are playing now will remain.
2. We expect there are more cards helping us to cast the high mana cost colorless creatures(Eldrazi).
Ugin, the Spirit Dragon is the card I am going to analysis. If the mana sources in Battle can support Eldrazi, also greatly will they help Ugin to enter the battlefield in less than 6 turns. In theory, opponent do not control non-land permanents with mana cost higher than 6 in the sixth turn; Ugin sweeps the battlefield. But we don't know how powerful the "Devoid" creatures are in the set, Ugin can't take them down.
3. The "Eldrazi"
If history repeats itself, Battle for Zendikar, like other "sequel" sets, will include new versions of Emrakul and some other Eldrazi monsters from the original Zendikar set. The card I choose to collect from now on is See the Unwritten because it is the only way to "cheat" Eldrazi into the battlefield. (The new set is full of ramp cards, I doubt they will print other cards that can let you put Eldrazi into the battlefield easier than ramping.)
4. Ramp decks
I saw Rolling Thunder, an advanced Fireball, in the new set. It's given us an idea for designing GR ramp decks. Building a ramp deck, you normal add 8 or more cards that can permanently provide you with extra mana. An example of such cards is Rampant Growth -- it lets you put a land from the library onto the battlefield. Once mana are gathered in your side, you can cast deadly spells like a 10 damage Rolling Thunder on opponent or the creatures you want to eliminate.
5. Tokens
The tokens in this set is called "Eldrazi Scions". They are 1/1s that sacrifice to add 1 mana. I think these cards favour Evolutionary Leap and cards that make your creatures +1/+1. On the other hand, cards capable to stop tokens are worth collecting. I am buying Displacement Wave.
Cards I like:
1. Greenwarden of Murasa
It's simple and value adding.
