The possible aggro decks with this card are: GW,
Let's try them one by one. Firstly, I would like to see it in Mono Blue Devotion deck.
The creature part of a mono blue deck is like this:
Master of Waves 4
Shorecrasher Elemental 4
Thassa, God of the Sea 4
Triton Shorestalker / Gudul Lurker 4
Hypnotic Siren 4
Mindreaver / Chasm Skulker/ Stratus Dancer 4
Cloudform 4
Hall of Triumph 2
Bident of Thassa 2
Collected Company 4
11 Islands
4 Temple of Mystery
4 Mana Confluence
4 Yavimaya Coast
If we have a Thassa in play and we know about one third of our library are creatures(excluding other copies of Thassa and Cloudform), then it's likely that we 'll get 2 creatures. Depending on the mana combination, it is not hard to realize three more U on Devotion. With 1-2 blue auras/enchantments/creatures on the battlefield, Collected Company ensures us a 5/5 Thassa the next turn. Even if we don't control Thassa, there is a chance for us to net Thassa from the library with Collected Company because Thassa is a 3 mana cost creature in the library regardless the Devotion in play. In that way, we can still attack for 5 or more damage the next turn.
Test Result:
Thassa's devotion is almost guaranteed with all the cards like Cloudform, Shorecrasher Elemental, Bident of Thassa. The real challenge for this deck is whether it can survive in a faster Standard with less powerful early drops. I found it hard to deal early damage with the 1/1s without Hall of Triumph.
For BGx aggro, you can read the list in this article. But the drawback is that it doesn't hit Morph creatures and Rhino. Also, we tend to equip aggro decks with 12-16 removals. Do we even have the card slot for Collected Company?
Maybe the best option is GW aggro.
The better 3 mana cost cards I can find are:
4 Elvish Mystic
4 Fleecemane Lion
4 Heir of the Wilds
2 Boon Satyr
4 Deathmist Raptor
3 Brimaz, King of Oreskos
(Collected Company pulling Heir or Raptor to block seems a right plan.)
Playing with other aggro decks, I feel it 's like a choice between two birds in the woods and one in the hand. With 4 mana, we can choose Surrak, the Hunt Caller. It's easy to get it haste in aggro decks and we may race with the opponent. If the opponent is playing a control deck, Collected Company is better for us to come back after a mass removal.
Are the most powerful three drops in Temur deck? Collected Company may find these cards: Goblin Rabblemaster, Flamewake Phoenix, Boon Satyr, Savage Knuckleblade, Deathmist Raptor. Also, Rattleclaw Mystic, Den Protector and Ashcloud Phoenix can bring Raptor back from grave. Den Protector may return you a dangerous late game Crater's Claw which you used on a creature earlier. The deck sounds quite resilient.
The list:
4 Savage Knuckleblade
4 Ashcloud Phoenix
4 Flamewake Phoenix / Thunderbreak Regent
3 Heir of the Wilds
4 Rattleclaw Mystic
4 Deathmist Raptor
2 Boon Satyr /Den Protector
2 Stormbreath Dragon
2 Crater's Claws
2 Collected Company
2 Sarkhan Unbroken / Crater's Claw
4 Lightning Strike/Stubborn Denial
23 Lands
Result:
It seems to be a more workable deck with Collected Company. I hope you can try it out.
Updates: The standard is too fast even Temur can't stand the flooding of WB warriors or Red goblins - I am tying Arcbond on the deck to clear other creatures.
Removing all 4cmc cards may be a solution. Sorry, Thunderbreak Regent and Stormbreath Dragon.
